George Gershwin - Cuban Ouverture (1932)

I absolutely love this tune by one of my favorite composers. It certainly evokes Caribbean sensuality, doesn't it? And the final part from 7:23 is really wonderful.

Ros Saraysothea - Chnam Oun 16 (Cambodia, 1960's)

Wonderful obscure psychedelic Cambodian song from the 60's. Don't miss the funny accompanying video with pictures of every imaginable conspiracy and supernatural theory.

Sonic 3 Music, For perilous Paradise Act 3 (1994)

Sounds so good to me... deliciously Latin and catchy.

shochan8883 - 80's synth riffs (youtube video, 2015)

I leave you this video, as I love both synths and 80's music...

Ananda Shankar - Streets of Calcutta (India, 1975)

Absolutely amazing instrumental song that seems to transport you and tell a story of its own... I knew about it because it was used in a cell phone ad some years ago.

Jefferson Airplane - Volunteers (United States, 1970)

Very powerful song, it became political, as it seems to take a political stand against US involvement in the Vietnam war.

Eduard Xil - Esli by parni vseï zemli (USSR, 1982)

I have to say that I actually heard this song for the first time in a cassette tape of a Russian language course. But I actually liked it, it is very idealistic and talks about Communist topics: if young people from all over the world were united, the world would be a better place, it's what he says.

Franco Luambo Makiadi - Mario (Zaire, 1985)

This was actually Franco Luambo's greatest hit. This is a sad song that talks about a young gigolo man who lives at the expense of her older lovers. When will you get a diploma, Mario? The song has wonderful guitar riffs (check 6:00 for example).
